About Us

Our Mission
The mission of the USHCC Foundation is to foster Hispanic entrepreneurial growth and achievement through educational initiatives in the world of business. To fulfill its mission, the Foundation builds programs, partnerships and collaborative efforts that link Hispanic entrepreneurs to educational and professional development programs and prepares Hispanic youth for careers as business leaders.

The USHCC Foundation has three core educational programs:

1) The BizFest Training & Competition;

2) The Chamber Training Institute, which builds the capacity of member chambers, offering technical assistance, support and resources so that they can in turn strengthen and build their own business communities; and

3) The Green Builds Business program, which educates Hispanic entrepreneurs about environmental sustainability and connects them with financial resources to transition their businesses into more environmentally conscious practices

Wells Fargo, a proud sponsor of the USHCC Foundation

The USHCC Foundation’s 11-year track record of success in delivering quality educational opportunities to Hispanic students and entrepreneurs is due in no small part to leveraging strong partnerships with Hispanic business leaders, the Hispanic business community, and the academic sector.

United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
The USHCC Foundation is closely aligned with the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC).  The USHCC Foundation was created to answer the need for educational and professional development programming for member chambers of the USHCC and the wider Hispanic community.  The Foundation’s relationship with USHCC’s network of more than 200 local Hispanic Chambers of Commerce provides access to innumerable aspiring and established business leaders.

Academic and Industry Partnerships
The USHCC Foundation’s trainings are crafted and delivered in partnership with university programs reputed for their excellence in areas specific to our programs.  In 2010, the Foundation re-tooled two of our programs to take a more collaborative approach, partnering with the Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business to re-design and spearhead the Chamber Trainings and the University of Texas – Pan American College of Business Administration to re-design the BizFest Training & Competition.  In 2011, the Foundation partnered with green business expert Bill Roth, president of Northern California Community Technologies, a consulting firm helping businesses define and integrate sustainability into their strategies, performance metrics, business processes and branding/marketing, to develop our newest program Green Builds Business.  Developing and maintaining these relationships has been integral to the success and effectiveness of the Foundation’s programs and leveraging our shared resources.
