Chamber Capacity Building

This section will focus on capacity building of our local Hispanic chambers of commerce. We seek to highlight best practices, programs and partnerships that will improve and grow local chambers of commerce.

The USHCC Foundation wants to hear from you, our members. Share with us strategies that have helped grow your chamber in the areas of organizational development, program development, fundraising, membership, public relations, and coalition building.

National Leadership & Chamber Excellence Training Institute
The USHCC Foundation looks to host another series of informative chamber training sessions at the 27th Annual National Convention and Business Expo taking place in Philadelphia, PA September 19-23. This year’s National Leadership & Chamber Excellence Training Institute will offer four (4) sessions:

1. Casa Cyber Small Business Incubation Best Practices
2. Chamber Fundraising Strategies and Best Practices
3. How to Facilitate and Access Procurement Opportunities
4. Business Investment and Business Growth Strategies

During these sessions you will hear experts and successful chamber executives dialogue on strategies and best practices to help you build the capacity of your chamber.

Chamber Executive Development Scholarship Fund
For the 4th year in a row the USHCC Foundation will again sponsor the Chamber Executive Development Scholarship Fund. This fund will provide airfare, lodging and convention registration for twenty-four (24) executives of our local Hispanic chambers of commerce across the country, which on their own, may not be able to afford the expenses associated with convention participation. The scholarship application will be available over the next few weeks.
