About Mentoring with the USHCC Foundation

Thank you for expressing interest in mentoring with the USHCC Foundation. Mentoring with the USHCCF provides a unique opportunity to share your knowledge, experience, and wisdom with business students, while affording mentees critical input with the potential to have far-reaching effects in their business and their future.

Mentoring Opportunities: BizVenture

The BizVenture Collegiate Entrepreneurship Competition, sponsored by Bank of America, teaches future entrepreneurs how to take an idea and turn it into a business. BizVenture business coaches from George Washington University will show students how to create business plans, proposals, and pitches. We also provide our students mentors, like you, to guide them along the way!

The 2017 USHCC Foundation BizVenture Collegiate Entrepreneurship Competition will have multiple opportunities where business leaders like yourself can help guide our next generation of entrepreneurs. The 2nd annual competition will take place October 1-3, 2017 during the USHCC National Convention in Dallas, TX.

BizVenture Pitch Practice

During Pitch Practice, instructors from the George Washington University will break from instruction to focus on the individual pitch of each student. During this session You will work with alongside the instructors from GW to provide more critical input for our students, directly influencing their participation! If you would like to mentor during this session, please indicate your interest using the form below and we will follow up with all the pitch practice times that are available for you to join us.

BizVenture Final Round Observation Gallery Observation

Can't make the pitch practice, but interested in observing the BizVenture participants' final pitches? Sign up below and we will provide you all the information that you need for the October 3 pitch competition so you can join us in the observation gallery!

Mentoring Opportunities: Tables to Opportunities

Tables to Opportunities (T2O) is a networking session that connects the business leaders of today and tomorrow to provide our next generation of entrepreneurs with mentorship and career support. T2O accomplishes this by facilitating multiple conversations between T2O mentors and BizVenture students where mentors deliver advice in a small group setting. This networking session presents an opportunity for mentors to give back to their community and share their insight with BizVenture participants. If you are a business or local chamber leader interested in becoming a mentor for Tables to Opportunities, please complete the USHCC Foundation Mentor form below.
